Mesopotamia, a true oasis in Wembley Park. This family owned and run venue is available for private or corporate parties, gatherings and celebrations for groups of any number between two and almost sixty people.
Since opening its doors in 2006, Mesopotamia has received fantastic reviews by many of London's restaurant and food critics. Although it is a rarely found Iraqi restaurant, it offers dishes that diners may be more familiar with in Greek, Persian or Lebanese eateries such as dolma, falafel, kubah and Baba Ghanouge. In-house specialities include chicken cooked with pomegranate and walnut, lamb cooked with dried fruits, and beef marinated in clove, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, tomato and garlic. A choice of set menus that offer ten different dishes let party's of two or more taste and share many of Mesopotamia's most popular dishes, including the very tasty Tamar Waya Laban a traditional dish of diced onions, dates, plain yoghurt and walnuts.
Sweets include the 'Babylon Tower' (chocolate fountain) when pre-booked, as well as the more traditional sticky baklava and walnut filled dates.
A wine list of over forty different wines (including two special house wines specially blended and imported from Catalonia), Moroccan beers, Arabian coffee and traditional mint tea ensure that no-one goes thirsty !
Mesopotamia can provide custom menus for pre-booked parties and can also offer a buffet option if preferred.
The experience of enjoying the food with your fellow diners is set off by the superb frescoed walls, tented ceiling and soft lighting.
For those who want even more, live music and belly dancing options are available, should you wish to experience 'Arabian Nights' in totality !! Mesopotamia hold regular Dance and Music Nights so it may be possible to arrange your event or celebration on the same day.
