The Deck is an ultra-modern, new, rooftop function space at the National Theatre, commanding panoramic views of London across the Thames, and available for exclusive hire throughout the summer.
Seen from outside, the Deck resembles a glowing cube resting on one of the theatre's Thames-facing terraces. It is a new roof-top venue at the National Theatre, which is on the South Bank of the Thames, a minute from Waterloo and five by tube from Covent Garden and the West End.
The Deck has been designed to make the most of its fabulous vantage point; it has a distinctly inside-outside feel, created by the use of translucent materials that allow natural daylight to flood in. The glazed walls are also retractable, meaning that in warm weather the whole room can be opened out to the decked terrace.
The fresh, modern architecture of The Deck makes it a great blank canvas for any event, from canapé receptions and cocktail parties to sophisticated private dining, corporate presentations or teambuilding days, to press events and even marriage and partnership ceremonies! The adjoining terrace, which is perfect for summer barbecues, is perhaps the most enjoyable element of the space, allowing guests to mingle and enjoy intriguing views of the streets and cityscape below.
Open April to the end of October and hired in its entirety, The Deck caters for 120 Standing / 100 Theatre-style / 90 Seated / 60 Marriage and Partnership ceremonies.
